For ACCIONA Infrastructure, quality is a recognisable element serving to differentiate a project; it forms part of the project management system, as an indispensable requirement for guaranteeing consistently good results, focussed towards sustainability and with a permanent vision towards the continuous improvement of all processes.

At ACCIONA Infrastructure we consider that quality should always be present in all the factors of construction: individuals, processes, materials, etc. Not only is what we build of importance to us, but also how we build. This is the reason we incorporate environmental, technical, economic, time, quality and occupational risk prevention matters, together with other aspects contributing to Quality in our management system.

ACCIONA Infrastructure bases its Environmental Management System on an annual statement of objectives which is distributed to all the work centres and includes a plan of specific actions.

Last year the company directly allocated 7.7 million euros to environmental activities and proposed improvements to clients on 82% of its sites. The most significant improvements are summarised below:

• Reuse of materials on site.
• Redesign by specialised technicians of the heating, air conditioning and electrical installations in order to optimise energy resources.
• Recovery of trees.
• Replacement of materials with others that do not generate hazardous waste.
• Presence sensors for common zone lighting.
• Installation of automatic irrigation networks on developments, in place of traditional irrigation systems, with the subsequent savings in water consumption.
• Replacement of PVC piping with PP piping in sanitation network.
• Adaptation of proposed landscaping project.

The average satisfaction levels of ACCIONA Infrastructure customers are positive as all the results are above an acceptance level of 70%.
