ACCIONA Infrastructure considers it essential to be aware of the different environmental aspects involved around the project, from both a design and a construction point of view.
The principal environmental aspects of a project may include atmospheric emissions (dust, particles, smoke and gas, noise, vibrations), discharges, waste management, raw materials and natural resources (water catchment, occupation of land and waterways, water, electricity and fuel consumption) and others (changes in accessibility, impact of services on heritage, flora and fauna and natural spaces).
These criteria are considered when decisions are made on preventing any negative environmental impacts and establishing environmental objectives. The parameters take into account the scale and magnitude of any impact, its severity and duration, and the technical difficulties of correcting it.
ACCIONA Infrastructure aims to go one step further, adding a complement to the measures established in the Environmental Impact Statement, by taking into consideration any environment impact that arises as a result of the construction process. These aspects are assessed and the more significant ones identified, and preventive, control and corrective measures are implemented in order to minimise their environmental impact.
